A White Card is a mandatory requirement for anyone working in the construction industry in Australia. It proves that you have completed a general construction safety course and are licensed to work on construction sites.
Who needs a White Card?
Anyone who works, or wants to work, in the construction industry in Australia needs to have a White Card. This includes backpackers on a working holiday Visa and international students.
How can I get a White Card?
You can obtain a White Card by completing a course with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) such as ourselves. Once you've completed the course, you will be issued with a physical laminated White Card that you must carry in person while working construction jobs.

How long does it take to get a White Card?
The course runs for 4.5h, after which you'll be issued with your card upon successful completion of the training.
How much does a White Card cost?
The cost of the course varies depending on the provider. It typically ranges from $100 to $150 AUD.
What do I need to bring to the training?
When attending a White Card course, you must ensure that you bring the required identification documents. In Queensland, backpackers should bring the following forms of identification:
- Your Passport
- Your Visa
- One of the following: Your overseas drivers' licence, bank card or birth ceritificate
In total, you should bring 3 documents. We also recommend that you wear comfortable clothing and bring food and water.

Yes, the White Card is valid in all states and territories in Australia. Once you obtain your Queensland White Card, you will be able to work in any states and territories.
Can I use a White Card obtained in another country?
